Membership into Brotherhood of the Cross and Star is free and open to all and sundry irrespective of age, gender, religion or race. Whoever accepts to confess his / her sins and accepted to be baptised by immersion in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is blessed without condemnation. According to the Sole Spiritual Head of the Universe, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, he said that to become a member of the Kingdom is by divine calling and ordination. Indeed, except one is destined to be a member, one can never be. (John 6:4).

Anybody who wishes to be a full member of BCS shall pass through the under mentioned stages. First and foremost, the new member has to denounce affiliation to worldly societies, accept baptism and to obtain the following credentials for identification according to Colossian chapter 3 verses 16. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in Psalms, hymns and Spiritual Songs singing with grace in your heart to the Lord”. The membership of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star is comprised of the following pews or what is ordinarily described as positions below;

The Congregation are newly baptised men and women members who are not yet assigned to greater responsibilities. Their uniform is plain white soutane. They are carefully supervised by the bethel Leader’s Representative (an overseer). He observes these new brethren and encourages them to imbibe the BCS doctrine and all other principles of the Kingdom. Their level of devotion, dedication and ability to practice love for others are some of the indices used to assess every member, especially the new ones, to qualify for promotion to higher pews (position). However, BCS do not observe stringent criteria for elevation. We believe that the Holy Spirit intervenes in the process of selection to any office. Romans Chapter 9 verses 16 said, “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy”.

At whatever level an appointment or promotion is made it must received the approval of His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu The King of kings and Lord of lords whom is The Chairman, BCS Executive Council and Head of Administration.

The Sabbath children are from toddlers up to twelve years of age and they constitute the Sabbath group. Their uniform is soutane like that of the adult brethren. They are encouraged to exhibit their God given physical and spiritual talents such as singing, drama and soap opera groups, praying, evangelism and quiz competitions at various levels within and outside the BCS to the glorification of The Father.

The Choristers are those talented with song writing, composition and singing natural songs without instrumentation. They are assigned to sing new heavenly melodious songs before the throne of God. Their uniforms are plain soutane without capes but they wear a white cassock on top of the soutane which gives them angelic looks. They play an important role in the bethels, zones, states, nations and even at the BCS World Headquarters in 34 Ambo Street Calabar by reviving the spirit of members through stimulating spiritual songs and anthems. BCS choristers are unique and have won both local and international choral competitions by rendition of their natural songs.

The Spirited Children are endowed with spiritual gifts of seeing vision, dreams and prophesying about past events, present and future occurrences for the enhancement of The Father’s work. They also heal the sick to the glory of our God.

The Elders are very important in BCS in view of their individual and collective experiences acquired in and outside the Kingdom. BCS Elders are dressed in plain white soutane, both men and women. They are expected to play active roles to ensure the smooth functioning of bethels. This is where they feature more prominently. They are to maintain peace and unity among members. They are the pillars of the bethel and are assigned to preach the word of God and baptise new converts. Some gifted ones among them make impact in their respective States, and National or International Fellowships.

The Ordained Ones are chosen from Elders, Spirited Children, Choristers, Men and Women congregation and anointed by the Holy Father. The ordained ones tie different colours of turbans or girdles; for example, some are red, black, green, brown and yellow, all with profound spiritual significance. They are usually charged to spread the message of the New Kingdom which is “Love one Another” to all the nooks and crannies of the world baptising them in the name of our lord Jesus Christ. They are to act as mothers and fathers in bethels.

The Bian Aneyen Evai

The Christ Practical Students are those who were housed and trained by the Holy Father in 26 Mbukpa Road Calabar. Their uniform is also plain white soutane for the brothers and sisters. They constituted the first batch of Brotherhood Seminarians (Students) from late 1960s. They serve as priest in BCS with exemplary character and conducts. Until recently most of them were Christ Students. That is their nomenclature which was changed to Christ Practical Students. Also some of them who left the Students Body for one reason or the other and returned back were promoted as Christ Practical students. They are expected to practice the teachings and ways of the Holy Father and to teach others to follow the path of righteousness.

The Christ Natural Preachers are those whom The Father used in the propagation of the gospel of the New Kingdom from the cradle. They assist greatly in laying the BCS foundation and they are one of the pews that constitute the Priesthood Body. It is their duty to ensure the dissemination of the word of God to the people in the whole world. They go to all nooks and crannies to evangelise mankind with the divine wisdom handed them by the Holy Spirit. They are also assigned to BCS formations as priest all over the world.

The True Christ Witnesses (TCW) are called, chosen, and commissioned by the Holy Father as witnesses and teachers in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. Their uniform is plain white soutane for brothers and sisters. They are to teach, practice the word of God and advice all members irrespective of ranks and positions or attainment. The Witnesses were formerly called the Christ Students. They are the first set of young boys and girls who are celibate and eunuchs in the Kingdom. They have left everything like the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ did to answer the calling of our Supreme Father, the Supernatural Teacher and the Holy Spirit of Truth, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu.

The formation of this Body dates back to the early 1960’s and most of them were called from a very young age and have evangelised some parts of the world. They have graduated from position of Christ Students to become True Christ Witnesses having been taught by the Holy Father.  The TCWs are sent on missionary assignments to BCS Bethels and Pentecostal Centres all over the world.

The Senior Christ Servants (SCS) Body comprises of men and women drawn from all walks of life into the service of God. Their uniform is plain white soutane for the brothers and sisters. They render selfless service to humanity and such principles remain their watch word. As servants unto Christ, they are saddled with enormous responsibilities to care for others, pray and provide for inmates of prisons and the sick in the hospitals. They are to provide solace and relief to orphans and the less privileged in the society. Part of their responsibilities is to render humanitarian services to all mankind irrespective of their faiths or race, construct roads, engage in farming to provide for others, trading and various commercial activities. They are also sent by the Holy Father as missionaries to BCS bethels and Pentecostal centres all over the world. They are blessed with the spiritual gifts of healing the sick, and the power of the spoken word.

The Blessed Mothers of the New Kingdom are baptised sisters of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star who are chosen, designated and consecrated by The Holy Father. They are selected from different pews from Congregation to 144,000 Virgins body but must be of good conduct and have genuine love for God and the work of His Kingdom. Their uniform is plain white soutane with a detached purple cape. The significance of the purple is a symbol of Gods power and authority and anyone who opposes them does so to The Father directly.

The first group of Blessed Mothers who numbers about 493 sisters were consecrated on October 3, 2016 to mark the Grand Finale of the Holy Mother Elizabeth Esu Olumba Obu Glorification and Mercy Fellowship week. The second batch of Blessed Mothers Designate number over 800 undergoing the requirements to qualify for consecration.

Their responsibilities are enormous but include to act like role models to other sisters all over the world. Also to organise events that may be assigned to them from time to time by the Holy Father. The Blessed Mothers are to attend Women Fellowship Meetings, their General Assembly at the end of each Pentecostal Assembly as well as hold monthly meetings at their various states. Being fully charged with the powers of the Holy Spirit they are to pray and pronounce blessings upon every soul in BCS and mankind in general.

The Bishops in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star are brothers whose election is guided by the Holy Spirit beginning from the 1980’s. Currently, BCS has over 1000 Bishops and Bishop-elects. They are chosen from all the pews in the Kingdom, except women, and do not necessarily need to attend the seminaries to qualify for election. Their uniform is plain white soutane with a broad sanctified and consecrated purple turban.

The BCS Bishops are accomplished brothers in various spheres of life and their election is akin to that of the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ who were considered the first bishops chosen from the seaside and others from the publican domain (Matt. 16:19, John 21:15-17, Phil. 1:1 and 1 Tim 3:1-3), because their time to serve God was due. Christ said unto them, to those who are fishermen “come I will make you fishers of men.” And most were appointed at the churches as written in Acts, Philippians, 1Timothy etc. He never asked them of their qualifications nor attainment in life but they eventually became the vehicle that moved the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ to the utmost part of the world. So it is in this generation.

The BCS Bishops share identical calling. Their roles and responsibilities are articulated in the instrument of their election and consecration which includes administration, facilitating and executing projects, mediation and arbitration among those at dispute and to evangelise the dying world. They have spread out to the world today teaching the gospel of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu of peace and love for one another to all nations and baptising them in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, in consonance with Olumba’s Great Commission.

Bishops are assigned to Area, District, States and Nations are to work in collaboration with the National Leader’s Representatives, the CNTMs and 144,000 Virgins towards the development, growth and spread of the Kingdom.

Divine Vanguards

The children of God or 144,000 Virgins Body was constituted by the Holy Father Leader Olumba Olumba Obu on the 14th of August 1991. The Father admits only Virgins (male and female) into the body. They are those who have not defiled themselves sexually with men or women. This is in fulfilment of the scripture in Revelation chapter 14 verses 1 to 5, “And looked, and These are they who were not defiled with women; for they are virgins they follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the first-fruits to God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God”.

As their nomenclature implies, they are virgins in body, mind and soul, in other words, Celibates. They have left their biological fathers, mothers and personal interest of any kind and are completely dedicated to the service and worship of God. Their utterances, dressing, appearance, behaviour, and self decorum are to exhibit the sterling qualities of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu. The Virgins work directly with the Holy Father Leader Olumba Olumba Obu and His First Begotten Son His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu. They engage in singing heavenly songs of praises to God day and night. The 144000 virgins are trained by the Supernatural Teacher and sent to various BCS bethels and Pentecostal centres as missionaries of the New Kingdom.
